How do I know a text, email, or call is really from Split Pay?

Any new text from Split Pay starts with "Split Pay," tells you how to opt out, and links only to a page on splitpay.com. If the first text you got is missing any of these, it isn't from us. Once a conversation with us has started, our replies in that same thread won't repeat the opt-out instructions — so check how the thread started.

Login codes only come from 57439.

Split Pay doesn't call you unless you've asked us to. If someone calls saying they're from Split Pay and you didn't ask for a call, hang up and reach us at splitpay.com/help.

Split Pay will never ask you to:

  • Share your password, a login code, your bank login, your full card number, or your Social Security number by text, email, or phone

  • Send money through Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, gift cards, or crypto

  • Pay a fee to close, reopen, or reinstate your account

The only time we ask you for a code is when you've contacted us and we text you one to confirm it's you. See Why did Split Pay text me a code when I called Support?

Not sure about a message? Don't tap the link. Your best bet is to reach out to us at splitpay.com/help and report it — we'll tell you whether it's real.

Note: If you already tapped a link or shared information, go to splitpay.com/help right away so we can help you protect your accounts.
