That code is how we verify it's really you — and it's much faster than the old way. Instead of spelling out your email address and name over the phone, the agent sends a six-digit code by text to the phone number on your Split Pay account. You read it back, you're verified, and we can get straight into helping with your account.
A few things to know:
The code goes to the number on your account — so it doesn't matter what phone you're calling from, as long as you can check texts on your own phone.
You read the code to us — never the other way around. A real Split Pay agent will never tell you a code or ask you to confirm digits they read to you.
We only ever ask for a code when YOU call US. If someone calls you claiming to be Split Pay and asks for a code — hang up. It's not us. Codes read to a caller are how scammers break into accounts.
Can't get texts right now, or is the number on your account out of date? For your security we can't discuss account details on that call — but you can sign in and contact our Support team by chat (signing in verifies you instantly), and if your number changed, we can update it after a quick identity check.
No code needed for general questions — it's only for conversations about your specific account, payments, or eligibility.
