Does Split Pay report to credit bureaus?

Yes — Split Pay reports your successful rent payments to two of the major credit bureaus, for free. No fees, no subscription, nothing to buy.

A few important things:

  • It's opt-in — you decide whether to turn it on

  • We only report successful payments. Late or missed payments are never shared. So credit reporting through Split Pay can only help your credit, never hurt it.

  • This applies to rent payments. Mortgage and car loan payments are already reported by your lender directly.

Why it's useful: rent is usually the biggest line item in someone's monthly budget. Most landlords don't report rent payments to credit bureaus, so years of on-time rent typically doesn't show up on your credit report. With Split Pay, every on-time rent payment can build your credit.
