A few things that are true:
Committing to a path early keeps your Split Pay account in good standing
Waiting it out is the only option that consistently makes things worse
A payment that started on or before its due date counts as on time, even if a bank transfer is still settling — as long as it doesn't fail
One self-serve option you might not know about: if you're no more than 4 business days past your original due date (weekends and bank holidays don't count), you can move your payment date yourself using the pay-now link in any of the texts or emails we've sent you.
