My portal payment failed. How do I retry?

You can retry yourself before 2:45pm Eastern Time the same day (Saturday failures extend to Monday 2:45pm ET).

Steps:

  1. First, fix the issue that caused the failure — usually adding funds to your debit card account, unlocking the card with your bank, or updating an expired card in the app

  2. Open the Split Pay app, or click the link in the email we sent

  3. Tap "Retry Payment"

Your card needs to have at least 50% of your total payment amount plus the Split Pay fees available — otherwise the retry will fail again.

If you can't get it done before 2:45pm ET: the payment goes back to your portal. From there, your portal might automatically reschedule, or you might need to schedule a new payment manually. Log into your portal to check.

Heads up: if the payment doesn't get retried in time, your portal or landlord may charge a late fee. Those fees are between you and them.
