Micro-deposits are tiny test deposits — either two small amounts (like $0.12 and $0.45) or a single $0.01 with a short code — that your portal sends to confirm you own the account you entered. They only come into play if you typed your Split Pay account and routing numbers into your portal manually: since the portal can't instantly confirm those numbers belong to you, it sends the test deposits and asks you to confirm what arrived.
Here's how to complete it:
Two small amounts: enter both amounts in your portal when prompted.
One $0.01 deposit with a code: look for a 3-letter code after a
#in the transaction description (like#PDV) and enter the code, not the amount.
A couple of things to know:
Your portal sends them — not Split Pay. We report the deposits when they reach your account, but we can't send, resend, or speed them up.
You can skip them entirely. If your portal supports connecting a bank through Plaid, choose Split Pay from the bank list instead — that verifies instantly, with no micro-deposits at all.
