Most portals send micro-deposits within 24 hours, but it can take up to 3 business days to reach us. If you're inside that window, just wait — there's nothing on our end we can speed up.
Where you'll see them: your portal sends the test deposit(s) to your Split Pay account — the account and routing numbers you entered — not to your personal bank, and they won't appear in the Split Pay app or on splitpay.com. As soon as we receive them, we email you from notifications@splitpay.com with the subject "Action Needed: Split Pay Micro-Deposit Verification" and text you if you're opted in to texts. That email lists each deposit — the amount, the date, and the transaction description.
A few important things:
Your portal sends the micro-deposits, not us. We just report them when we receive them. We can't resend them, expedite them, or troubleshoot them on our side.
Two kinds of verification, depending on your portal:
Two small amounts (e.g. $0.12 and $0.45) — enter both amounts when prompted
One $0.01 deposit with a code — look for a 3-letter code after a
#in the transaction description (like#PDV). Enter the code, not the amount.
Don't remove and re-add your Split Pay account in the portal while you wait. Each time you do, the portal sends new deposits and the earlier ones no longer match.
If you're at 3+ business days:
Check your inbox for our email from notifications@splitpay.com — and check spam. The email (or text, if you're opted in) is the only place you can see the deposits.
Check your portal for a "Resend micro-deposits" option
Double-check the account and routing numbers you entered match your Split Pay account exactly
