If your first attempt failed, you're not stuck. Split Pay uses a three-attempt verification flow that automatically tries different methods until something works.

Here's the flow:

  1. First attempt: Basic check against official records

  2. Second attempt: Upload a photo of your ID

  3. Third attempt: ID upload plus a selfie

If one method doesn't work, the app automatically moves you to the next. You don't need to do anything special — just log back in and you'll be prompted with the next verification method.

What to do right now:

  • Log back into the app

  • Follow the prompts for the next verification step

  • Make sure your name, date of birth, and address match exactly what's on your ID

  • For document uploads: take photos in good lighting, no glare, all four corners visible
