Split Pay support will never ask you for:
Your password (we never need it — period)
Your full Social Security number (we never ask for all 9 digits)
Your full credit card or debit card number (only last 4 digits)
Your full bank account number (only last 4 digits)
A verification or MFA code that we didn't tell you we were sending
Your Apple ID password, Google password, or any other login credentials
Remote access to your phone or computer
Gift card numbers or payment via cryptocurrency
If anyone claiming to be Split Pay support asks for any of the above — it's a scam. Hang up, don't reply, don't click any links they sent. Then come to us through the official Split Pay app to report it.
What we WILL ask for:
The email address on your account
Last 4 digits of your phone number
Last 4 digits of a payment method
A recent payment amount, your property address, or other account-specific details
For account recovery, a quick selfie verification through a verified link
A real Split Pay support agent will never pressure you to skip steps or rush. If something feels off, trust that instinct — get in touch through the app to confirm what's happening.
