I lost access to the email on my Split Pay account — what can I do?

More than you might think — you don't need that inbox to keep using Split Pay.

  • Get notifications somewhere you can see them. We can change the email where your Split Pay notifications are sent, no inbox access needed. Contact our Support team to verify your identity and we'll update it.

  • Keep your payments running. Your second Split Pay payment can draw from any payment method already connected to your account — we can switch which one for you. Payments can only run from methods already on your account, so keep at least one funded.

  • You sign in with email and password? You can still sign in as long as you know your password — the inbox is only needed for a reset. If you've forgotten the password too, we'll verify your identity by text and send a password reset link the same way.

  • You signed up with Google or Apple and lost that email? Restoring sign-in isn't something we're able to do right now. Soon you'll sign in with your phone number instead of an email — that resolves this entirely. In the meantime, we'll keep your notifications and payments running as above.

Note for Apple users: If you signed up with "Sign in with Apple," your account email may show as either your iCloud address or a private relay address (something like xxxxx@privaterelay.appleid.com). Both are valid — Apple's private relay forwards email to your real iCloud inbox without exposing it.

Contact our Support team with a note about what you need — notifications, a payment, or sign-in — and we'll take it from there.
