What happens to my data when I delete my Split Pay account?

When you delete your Split Pay account:

  • All connected bank accounts are immediately disconnected. Split Pay no longer has any visibility into, connection to, or stored credentials for your bank. We don't keep a copy or a record of access — the connection is fully severed.

  • Saved payment methods are removed from Split Pay

  • Scheduled autopayments cancel

  • Your Split Pay eligibility is removed

About your transaction history: it isn't deleted — if you sign up again later with the same email, it restores automatically. If you paid through a portal, lender, or mortgage servicer, the same Split Pay account and routing numbers come back live too.

You'll need to redo identity verification, reconnect a bank account, and reapply for Split Pay when you sign up again.

⚠️ Important if you pay through a portal, lender, or mortgage servicer: Your Split Pay account and routing numbers are saved as a payment method on their side. Deletion of your Split Pay account does not remove that saved payment method — you'll need to delete it yourself in your portal, lender, or mortgage servicer. If you skip this step, any charge they try to make to your Split Pay account while it's deleted will be rejected as an ACH error and you may face late fees on their end.

If you can't log in to delete your account yourself, contact our Support team — our compliance team (mailto:compliance@splitpay.com) handles deletions in those cases.
