Will Split Pay report my past payments to help my credit?

Yes, we can report your past successful Split Pay payments retroactively — you just need to meet two conditions:

  1. Turn on credit reporting in the Split Pay app

  2. Have your full address or building name in your account profile

Once both are in place, retroactive reporting kicks in automatically. Your previous on-time Split Pay rent payments get reported to the credit bureaus, usually within 1–2 billing cycles.

A few things to know:

  • This applies to rent payments only. Mortgage and car loan payments are already reported by your lender.

  • Only successful past payments get reported. Anything that was late or missed isn't included.

  • The retroactive reporting happens once. After that, ongoing payments report as they happen each month.

If you opt in but don't see past payments on your credit report after a couple of months:

  • Check that your full address is on file in your account profile (not just a partial entry)

  • Contact our Support team and we'll check your reporting status

The goal: give you credit for the on-time rent you've already been paying.
