I scheduled half my payment by mistake — can you split the remaining half?

Maybe — but only if you meet specific conditions. Here's how to think about it.

First, what happened: when you scheduled half your payment in your portal, your portal sent us a request for that exact amount. We process exactly what the portal sends, so we charged the partial amount and split that. Split Pay can't override or change a portal payment amount after the fact.

The remaining half — your options:

Option A: Pay it through your portal using a different payment method. Use your regular bank account or debit card, not your Split Pay account/routing numbers. This is the simplest path.

Option B: Schedule a second portal payment through Split Pay (only if you qualify). This second payment will only be split by Split Pay if all three of these are true:

  1. Your second Split Pay payment from the original payment has been fully paid back

  2. At least 7 calendar days have passed since the original payment

  3. The original payment has fully settled

If even one of these isn't true, the full amount will charge to your card without splitting. The 7-day requirement is set by our bank and payment processor — we can't waive it.

Going forward: always schedule your full payment amount in your portal. Split Pay handles the splitting automatically — your portal should never see anything less than the full amount.
