Three forms of US government-issued ID:
US passport
Driver's license
State-issued ID
That's the full list. All must be current (not expired).
Not accepted:
Temporary IDs (paper licenses, temporary state IDs)
Expired IDs of any kind
Non-US identification (passport from another country, foreign driver's license, consular ID)
Photos of IDs that aren't yours
School IDs, work badges, library cards
If you only have a temporary ID right now — for example, you just renewed and you're waiting for the permanent one to arrive — email mailto:compliance@splitpay.com. Our compliance team can review your case and let you know what options exist.
If your only ID is expired: you'll need to renew before you can complete verification. Most state DMVs have online renewal options.
