You can. One thing to know first: tapping "No thanks" just takes you back to the home screen — it doesn't cancel anything by itself. In fact your approval stays right there: if you change your mind, just tap View plan on your home screen and you can pick up exactly where you left off — you don't have to start over. Your application is only closed once you tap Cancel application on the home screen. After that, you're free to apply again. But think carefully before declining an approval to try for a higher amount. Split Pay approvals are real financial decisions: every application is a fresh review of your finances, and a new application isn't guaranteed to be approved for more — or approved at all. If an application isn't approved, you'll need to wait 30 days before you can apply again. So our honest advice is to apply for your actual payment amount — your real rent, mortgage, or car payment. And if an application isn't approved, keep your account active — you can apply again after the 30 days without starting over.
One more thing that genuinely helps: connect all of your bank accounts when you apply. Your approval is based on the financial picture we can see, so the strongest application includes every account you have. And this is the one exception to the 30-day wait — if there’s a bank account you hadn’t connected, adding it changes what we can review: connect it first, then apply again right away.
