Two different things, and yes — sometimes you'll be asked to confirm details even though you're already logged in.
For routine questions (where to find something, how a feature works, what a payment status means), being logged in is enough. We don't ask any extra verification questions.
For sensitive account changes (phone number, email, bank account, debit card, deleting your account), we do an extra verification step. Why:
Being logged in proves your account access at one point in time
An extra check for big changes makes sure you're still really you
If someone else got into your account, this is the gate that stops them from changing your contact info or banking details
Think of it like withdrawing a large amount from your bank — you might already be logged into your banking app, but the bank still asks for confirmation when you do something high-stakes.
The check is usually quick — confirming the email or last 4 of your phone, or for bigger changes, a quick selfie verification.
If verification feels excessive, the FAQ on what requires verification covers exactly what does and doesn't.
