How do I upload my lease, mortgage statement, or auto loan documentation?

Upload it directly through your Split Pay account or through the secure link we sent in your email — never via SMS, chat, or replying to email.

Steps:

  1. Open your Split Pay account, or click the upload link in the verification email we sent you

  2. Select your file — your lease (for rent), mortgage statement (for a mortgage), or auto loan documentation (for a car loan). PDF, JPG, or PNG — see file requirements below.

  3. Upload — you'll see a confirmation when it's received

  4. Wait for the review (1–2 business days)

Why upload through your Split Pay account, not email or chat:

  • Security. The in-app upload is encrypted end-to-end. SMS and chat aren't secure channels for sensitive documents.

  • Compliance. Our compliance team only accepts documents through the official upload flow.

If you have trouble uploading:

  • Check the file format (PDF, JPG, PNG)

  • Check the file size (under 10MB)

  • If your account is suspended and you can't access the upload feature, contact our Support team — we can temporarily unsuspend so you can upload

One thing not to do: don't email your document to support or send it via chat — even though it might feel easier. Compliance can't process documents that come in through those channels.

Once your document is uploaded, you should see your payment progress within 1–2 business days.
