For portal, lender, or servicer payments, expect 1–3 business days from when they pull payment. Here's the full picture.
The timing depends on the type of payment:
For portal, lender, or servicer payments (where they pull from your Split Pay account/routing numbers):
Day 0: They initiate the pull. Their portal may show "payment processed" or "scheduled" on their side.
Day 0–3: The pull travels through the ACH banking network to reach Split Pay. This is the slowest part — out of our hands.
Day 1–3: Split Pay receives the payment. Your Split Pay account updates to show the payment and your second installment is scheduled (~14 days out).
So typically: 1–3 business days from pull to seeing it as fully paid in Split Pay.
For direct payments (Split Pay to your landlord):
Almost instant on the Split Pay side — you'll see the payment in your Split Pay account as soon as you submit it
1–3 business days for your landlord to receive the funds
A few things that affect timing:
Weekends and holidays don't count. A pull on Friday won't show in Split Pay until Monday or Tuesday.
Pull timing varies. Some portals, lenders, or servicers pull instantly when triggered; others wait until end-of-day or next business day to actually send the ACH.
Bank-side processing. Some banks process ACH faster than others.
If it's been more than 3 business days and you don't see the payment in Split Pay:
Check your portal, lender, or servicer: confirm the payment actually pulled (not just scheduled)
Check your bank statement for the Split Pay charges (first payment)
Contact our Support team with the pull date — we can check on our end
While you're waiting:
Don't try to pay again through your portal, lender, or servicer — you'll end up paying twice
Don't try to pay Split Pay directly in your Split Pay account — the system needs to receive the pull first
Just wait the 1–3 business days
